We want to expedite AI's progress by reporting developments to the general public, and feeding debate back into the AI community. The world needs to be aware of AI's (lack of) progress!

The true merits of AI may not be found in motion-bots, but in thoughtful talk-bots that help people learn, understand and communicate more effectively. AI systems could someday mediate everything from sports debates to international diplomacy using natural language processing, knowledge bases and reasoning systems. The Information Age is pushing humanity into the waters of collective self-reflection.

To us, open-mindedness is the path to communication, while analogy is the path to clear thinking and fast learning. If we reduce our subjective selfish-consciousness, maybe we can grow towards an objective global self-consciousness.
